Guitars
PRS Guitars - Used by all sorts of performers, can't go wrong with a PRS!
OMNI Guitars - Omni Guitars are made in Saginaw by Matt Tunney - amazing instruments and Matt is great to work with!
Maton Guitars - Made in Australia, Maton's have proprietary electronics that make them sound very acoustic when plugged in to a PA. You can get Maton's from Artisan Guitars in Nashville and they are super friendly and very accommodating.
Martin Guitars - Martin's speak for themselves - fantastic instruments!
Amplification
When playing acoustic if not going through our own PA, I use a DI box to go straight to the PA. The Matons sound very good and are pretty easy to dial in a nice acoustic tone with quickly. I mainly play acoustic with the duo and we are always going through a Bose L1 system.
For my electric guitars, I go straight to the FoH with a Fractal Audio Axe-Fx III. After many years of carrying tube amps around, I found that the switch to a modeling platform gave the consistency and was less of a hassle, along with reducing the amount of gear I had to take to a show. Tube amps sound amazing and I love them still however. For the longest time I was playing through a Hughes and Kettner amp that rocked!
Other
When going wireless with my guitar, I'm using a Shure SLXD4 system - great system with no dropouts or other issues.
For IEMs, I'm using the Shure PSM300 system which is also super reliable and sounds great. My earbuds are KZ Audio which you can get from Amazon. I've tried multiple ear buds and found that the KZs sound the best and are also very cost efficient.
